Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
If you feel that your child or teenager is struggling, it is important that you have them evaluated by a mental health professional. With regard to psychological issues, children and teenagers often have different symptoms than adults. For example, a child/teenager who is depressed may be irritable, forgetful, disorganized, inattentive, or complain of boredom. Parents may not necessarily link these symptoms to depression because they do not know what signs to look for. If left untreated or misdiagnosed, the depression often worsens or new issues develop, such as anxiety.
At The Entelechy Wellness Center, we work with the family to develop clear, specific goals for psychotherapy. You, your child and your therapist will collaborate regularly and assess your child's progress.
