Natasha Shapiro, LCSWNatasha Shapiro, LCSW, has over 14 years of experience working with children, adults and families. Areas of expertise include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Depression and ADHD.

Her client-centered, inter-active approach empowers individuals to realize their true potential. Focuses include increasing self-awareness and providing supportive guidance to lead people in the direction they choose. Natasha provides a supportive and safe environment to help individuals feel comfortable and understood without judgment. She recognizes that change can be difficult and works at a mindful pace to respect individual needs.

Natasha draws from different theoretical orientations and applies specific approaches to meet the needs of each individual. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma. This approach helps to reduce negative thought patterns, increase pro-social behaviors and improve use of positive coping skills. Natasha helps people to gain insight into themes and causes of difficulties to the extent desired. In addition, she uses solution-focused techniques to help reduce symptoms as quickly as possible. Natasha also applies a strength based, narrative perspective to help separate the problem from the person. Her use of mindfulness and relaxation techniques help pave the way to decrease suffering and increase life fulfillment.

Natasha specializes in adolescents, families and women. She helps adolescents navigate through transitions as well as manage identity and relationship challenges. She works with women on parenting, anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues. Natasha helps families to increase positive communication and improve parental cohesion.
