Her non-judgmental approach to therapy includes interpersonal theory, life-coaching and cognitive behavioral techniques. Dr. Villarreal uses an interactive style in exploring emotional and behavioral patterns to understand help change unhealthy behaviors and patterns.

Dr. Sarah Villarreal has two areas of specialty:
1) Children & Adolescents and 2) Women.

With children and adolescents, Dr. Villarreal uses cognitive behavioral and interpersonal theory approaches. These styles of therapy are both researched and proven to be effective. A constant primary therapy goal is always to help your child realize and live up to their potential. Other goals of therapy include increasing self-awareness, confidence, sense of self and coping skills. Dr. Villarreal specializes in helping individuals with Self-Esteem Issues, Anxiety , Depression, Attentional Problems (ADD/ADHD) and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Asperger’s Syndrome). Dr. Villarreal is the Co-Founder of Bay Area Therapists Specializing in Adolescents (BATSA).

Dr. Sarah Villarreal has over twelve years of experience working with women. She provides individual therapy using interpersonal theory and life-coaching style cognitive behavioral therapy. These approaches are solution focused, but also process oriented and lead to an understanding of why the behaviors and patterns developed. Through a compassionate, interactive and non-judgmental approach, Dr. Villarreal will work with you to help you actualize your potential and fulfill life goals. She works with women on Parenting Issues, Relationship Issues, Depression, and Anxiety. She values identifying interpersonal patterns to increase self-awareness and help create the changes that you want in your life.

Dr. Villarreal is the founder of three successful businesses and is currently writing a self-help book for women.
